Texas Discovery Gardens is open daily from 10 am to 5 pm.
The last ticket to the Butterfly House is sold at 4:15 pm. Closed New Year's Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

Location: Texas Discovery Gardens is located at 3601 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. in Fair Park. Fair Park is two miles east of downtown Dallas just south of Interstate 30.
Where to park: Enter Fair Park at gate # 6 (the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. & Robert B. Cullum Blvd). Just inside the gate, turn right on Second Ave. Enter the parking lot on your right.
Please note: Fair Park has paid parking during park-wide events or major concerts. If you are visiting Texas Discovery Gardens during an event, tell the parking gate attendant you are visiting us and he/she should let you through for free.
During the State Fair of Texas (Sept. 24 - Oct. 18 2010), parking fees and State Fair admission will apply if you wish to visit Texas Discovery Gardens.
The Fair Park Passport is your affordable ticket to adventure. It is available for sale at the Museum of Nature and Science--onsite or online! The passport now includes admission to our Butterfly House!
Driving Directions
Did you know the DART Green Line takes you to Fair Park?
You can exit the Fair Park station or the Martin Luther King station to reach Texas Discovery Gardens.From North Dallas, Richardson, Plano & other cities north of Dallas
Take US 75 South, exit onto I-30 East, then take exit 47 (Second Avenue/Fair Park), curve to the right and turn left at the second light which is Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. Enter Gate #6. Just inside the gate, turn right on Second Ave. Enter the parking lot on your right.
From West Dallas, Arlington, Fort Worth and other cities west of Dallas
Take I-30 East, then take exit 47 (Second Avenue/Fair Park), curve to the right and turn left at the second light which is Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. Enter Gate #6. Just inside the gate, turn right on Second Ave. Enter the parking lot on your right.
From East Dallas, Mesquite, Rockwall and other cities east of Dallas
Take I-30 West, then take exit 47C (First Avenue/Fair Park), turn right at Exposition Avenue and turn right on Parry Avenue. Parry becomes Robert B. Cullum Ave. Turn left at the fourth light which is Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. Enter Gate #6. Just inside the gate, turn right on Second Ave. Enter the parking lot on your right.
From South Dallas, Ferris, Ennis and other cities south of Dallas
Take I-45 North, exit onto I-30 East, then take exit 47 (Second Avenue/Fair Park), curve to the right and turn left at the second light which is Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. Enter Gate #6. Just inside the gate, turn right on Second Ave. Enter the parking lot on your right.
