Join us for the Basically Beethoven Festival, a series of FREE classical chamber music concerts and recitals that take place every Sunday afternoon in July. Performances by professional musicians from across North Texas perform inside our Grand Hall. Rising Star Recital from 2:30 pm - 2:50 pm and the Feature Performance from 3 pm - 4 pm. Immerse yourself in the world of butterflies with Dale Clark, founder of the Dallas County Lepidopterist Society. The class ends with a field trip to Dale's butterfly farm south of Dallas.

We’re all about butterflies as we celebrate our first Butterfly Festival. Join us all day for educational booths, crafts and more! We’ll have select butterfly host and nectar plants on sale, as well as information on how to start your own butterfly garden. Sat. August 14: Garden Walk -- Caterpillar Crawl 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. Free with garden admission.
Enjoy a stroll through the Gardens and hunt for colorful caterpillars! Kid friendly. Dress up as a butterfly or caterpillar and stay for our Butterfly Festival!
Sat. September 18: Dallas Green Festival 9 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. Free garden admission.
Join us for the 3rd annual “Dallas Green Festival,” an educational event aimed at raising awareness about being eco-friendly with the City of Dallas and featuring the Green Grass Generation. This year the event will be held at Texas Discovery Gardens!
The event includes free Garden admission (Butterfly House exhibit includes fee). Exciting Attractions include a Smart Car Rally, Mass Butterfly Release and Tagging, Outdoor Recreation Zone, Food and Music, Classes for Adults and Kids, Whole Lifestyle Demos, Fun, Educational Activities for Kids, Recycled Arts and Crafts and Face Painting!

| Texas Discovery Gardens offers its second Master Composter Certification Course. Learn about composting techniques, helpful insects, worms, and compost tea. With completion of optional volunteer hours, participants will receive a certificate. Class includes lunch, a book, compost thermometer, and worm bin, courtesy of Living Earth. |
