Rentals & Weddings


Thank you for your interest in Texas Discovery Gardens for your special event! Our venue and gardens are open at your convenience daily from 11 am – 4 pm for casual self-guided viewing and date availability inquiries.

Guided wedding tours are now available! Tours start Thursdays at 6 pm and Saturdays at 11 am in the Texas Discovery Gardens lobby. They happen weekly unless a holiday or major garden event takes place on that day. RSVP for a guided tour at Rental@TexasDiscoveryGardens.org.



We are pleased to make an appointment for you for a personalized tour, consultation, or to book your event date. General Rental Information

  • We are proud to announce that we have new terrazzo floors and fresh cream paint in our Grand Hall!
  • TDG cannot hold weddings during the State Fair of Texas, Sept. 28 - Oct. 21 2012.
  • Saturday rental times are from 9 am - 4 pm or 5 pm - midnight, subject to availability.
  • Additional Saturday rental hours are limited to one hour per rental time option.
  • Rentals begin when the first person arrives to setup or decorate and concludes when cleanup/tear down is completed.
  • Gallery/Lobby, Discovery Gallery and Canopy Room are available for cocktail/hors d'oeuvres receptions after 5 pm and require the use of a Preferred Caterer.
  • You must provide security for your guests. One security guard is required for up to 200 people.
  • Parking is free at Fair Park.

Preferred Vendor List

Use of one of our preferred/approved catering vendors is recommended (see pdf below for full list). If you choose to use an outside caterer, there will be an additional charge and you will be responsible to ensure policy adherence.
