Join us as we find wildlife friends, dig into gardening,and make crafts, bird houses, and more. Texas Discovery Gardens summer camps are all about the great outdoors! Our programs are both educational and exciting for kids.
Weeklong Camps
Art Outdoors! This popular one-day camp has been expanded to a whole week! Discover exciting ways to recreate what you see outside. Each day, we’ll explore a different artistic method and observe new animals! Backyard Buddies
Discover more about our animal friends that live in a
garden. Each day, we’ll go on a safari to discover new
creatures and learn how they help our garden grow. New
this year: enjoy a day trip to the Children’s Aquarium!
Budding Botanists Explore everything about a plant while getting dirty and planting your very own mini-garden. From Muddy Monday to Fruit Filled Friday, we learn all about how plants, people and animals all need each other’s help to keep growing! |

Day Camps
Bugs, Bugs, Bugs
Our day will be full of bug encounters, bug songs, bug games and even a bug-themed snack! We will explore where bugs live and what bugs need to survive. Butterfly Investigators
Explore the different stages of a butterfly’s life and meet some of our fascinating caterpillars! I Heart Bugs!
Discover why you should love bugs! Explore how important insects are to people and vice versa. Get up close to our arthropod allies. |
Policies/FAQs Camps run from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm. We offer Pre-care & Post-care. Pre-care (8-9:30) is $5/day/child. Post-care (3:30-5:30) is $8/day/child includes a snack. Each day camp is $35; $28 for TDG members. For an additional child or a session booked, there is a 5% discount (available once). Register with Barbara, 214-428-7476 x 343. Questions? Ask Erin, 214-428-7476, x 270 or edu@texasdiscoverygardens.org. Registration closes two weeks before the start of each camp. My child has a summer birthday. What age is he/she considered? Children must be the age of the camp by June 1 or going into the grade level listed. We also require your child has some previous form of classroom experience. For grade level camps, it is the grade your child will be entering. What does my child need to bring every day? A lunch (that requires neither refrigeration nor a microwave), a hat, and a water bottle. Apply sunscreen at home. We provide an afternoon snack. |
