Growing Green in the City with Paul Quinn College’s We over Me Farm
June 8-12, 2015
1st-3rd Grade

From farm to Fair Park, see what’s growing all across the city, and learn how to grow a thing or two along the way! Campers spend part of the week at the WE Over Me Farm at Paul Quinn College, where they’ll learn about growing vegetables and taking care of our farm animals. The fun continues at Texas Discovery Gardens with a Friday Garden Fiesta!


Outdoor Art Summer Camp
June 15-19, 2015
2nd-4th Grade

Discover exciting ways to recreate what you see outside. Each day, we’ll explore a different artistic method and observe new animals! We’ll even have an artist visit us and teach us their specialty!


From Land to Sea with the Children’s Aquarium
July 13-17, 2015
4th-5th Grade

Take a journey from land to sea without leaving Dallas! Spend three days at Texas Discovery Gardens exploring the exciting things that live above, in, and underneath gardens, and then spend two days at Children’s Aquarium at Fair Park learning all about the underwater world. This camp includes a staff supervised sleepover on Thursday night at Children’s Aquarium at Fair Park. Cost $265/week for non-members ($240/week for Dallas Zoo or Texas Discovery Gardens members).

Backyard Buddies Summer Camp
July 20-24, 2015
Ages 4-5; 1st-4th Grade

In our most popular camp session, discover more about our animal friends that live in a garden. Each day, we’ll go on a safari to discover new creatures and learn how they help our garden grow. We also trek to the Children’s Aquarium to meet their critters!


Wiggly Week Bug Camp
August 3-7, 2015
Ages 4-5; 1st-3rd Grade

Does your kid crave creepy-crawlies? This camp will satis-‘fly’! We meet new tropical insects each day. From Monarch Monday to Fly Friday, your camper will discover the wonderful world of arthropods!


Budding Botanists
August 10-14, 2015 Ages 3-5,

Explore everything about a plant while getting dirty and planting your very own mini-garden. From Muddy Monday to Fruity Friday, we learn all about how plants, people and animals need each other’s help to keep growing!

Policies/FAQs

Camps run from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm.
We offer Pre-care & Post-care.
Pre-care (8 am drop off) is $15/week/child.
Post-care (pick up at 5:30 pm) is $25/week/child and includes a snack.

My child has a summer birthday. What age group is he/she considered?
Children must be the age of the camp by June 1 or going into the grade level listed. We also require your child has previous classroom experience.

What does my child need to bring?
A lunch (that requires neither refrigeration nor a microwave), a hat, and a water bottle. Don’t forget to apply sunscreen at home! We provide an afternoon snack.

Each weekly camp is $200; $170 for TDG members. If you book siblings and/or more than one class, you'll receive an additional 10% discount.

Life of a Bug Day Camp
Tuesday, June 23; Ages 3-6
Wednesday, June 24; Ages 3-6<

Our day will be full of bug encounters, bug songs, bug games and even a bug-themed craft! We will explore where bugs live and why bugs are important.


Chrysalis Day Camp
Tuesday, July 23; Ages 3-6
Wednesday, July 24; Ages 3-6

Explore the stages of a butterfly’s life and see fascinating caterpillars up close! Learn the difference between a chrysalis and a cocoon and meet the most interesting residents of each!

Post-care (pick up at 5:30) is $8/day/child includes a snack.

Each day camp is $35; $30 for TDG members. With an additional child or a session booked, there is a 10% discount (available once).
