Butterflies and Bugs! Annual Family Festival

Looking at Caterpillars Festival Fun

Texas Discovery Gardens celebrates insects with our fifth annual Butterflies 'n Bugs! Family Festival

What: Arthropods rule! Join in the educational fun at our annual family festival as we bring out insects that aren’t on daily display. The amazing Captain Chrysalis will be attending, along with some live critters brought by Dale Clark with the Dallas County Lepidopterist’s Society. We’ll also provide face painting, arts and crafts, opportunities to "pin a bug," butterfly house tours at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. and other family activities. Entomologist and all around bug expert John Watts will bring his personal collection of beetles, live tarantulas, walking sticks and more! We’ll have select butterfly host and nectar plants on sale, as well as information on how to start your own butterfly garden.
